Personal Statement
Dr. Stephen Honor has been in the full time practice of forensic and clinical neuropsychology in Smithtown, NY for more than 45 years. He is board certified in Clinical neuropsychology (American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology), Forensic psychology (American Board of Forensic Psychology, and Clinical psychology (American Board of Professional Psychology). Dr. Honor also held fellowships in the American College of Forensic Psychology, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, and the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. Previous experience also includes having served as a Medical Advisor to the Department of Health and Human Service. Dr. Honor has testified locally and nationally in a number of legal cases and he has lectured to professional groups. He was previously on the faculty of Touro College, School of Health Sciences, where he taught in the graduate program in Forensic Examination. Dr. Honor is an active member of New York State Association of Neuropsychology where he serves on the Professional Affairs Committee and the Workers’ Compensation/No-Fault committee. In addition, he is the continuing APA Neuropsychology Division representative to the APA Interdivisional Healthcare Committee. He is on the Executive Board of SCPA as well as being a member of the SCPA Psychology Law Committee.
