Personal Statement
Dr. Hilary Gomes is a pediatric neuropsychologist in private practice on Long Island (St. James, Suffolk County Northshore). She has clinical and research expertise in a wide variety of clinical conditions, including dyslexia, language impairment, autism, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She has experience working with individuals, ranging from preschoolers to young adults. She received her Ph.D. at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and completed a National Institutes of Health post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Before coming to Long Island, she was an Associate Professor of Psychology at the City College of New York where she taught neuropsychological assessment of children and adults at the graduate level for over 10 years. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Autism Speaks Foundation.
