Personal Statement
Dr. Daniela Montalto is a pediatric neuropsychologist and the Clinical Director of the Neuropsychology and Learning Service at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She specializes in neurodevelopmental disorders including learning disorders, attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), cognitive and executive functioning weaknesses, intellectual disability, and autism. Dr. Montalto has experience working with patients ranging from preschoolers to young adults. She also has specialized training in parent behavior management, family therapy, cognitive and behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and academic advocacy. Dr. Montalto received her Ph.D. from Fordham University and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at the NYU Child Study Center. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, she teaches two undergraduate courses within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Minor at New York University (NYU) and is actively training and supervising psychology externs, interns, and postdoctoral and psychiatry fellows in neuropsychology for over the past ten years. Dr. Montalto participates in clinical research and presents at various conferences throughout the year.
