The New York State Association of Neuropsychology (NYSAN) and the New York Neuropsychology Group (NYNG) want to educate students about possible careers in neuropsychology.
- Neuropsychologists study the way the brain affects thinking and behavior.
- It takes special training to become a neuropsychologist, including completion of a
Doctoral degree in Psychology.
- Neuropsychologists work in places like hospitals, outpatient clinics, private practices,
and rehabilitation centers. They typically work with people who have conditions that
affect the brain, such as strokes, brain injury, MS, epilepsy, or Alzheimer’s disease.
- Neuropsychologists also teach and/or do research about the way the brain works.
Meet professional Neuropsychologists in a variety of practice settings!
