Personal Statement
Pomegranate Psychological Services PC provides psycho-educational and neuropsychological evaluations for infants through adulthood. Dr. Newman has particular expertise with diagnosis and establishing treatment plans for learning disability, lead poisoning, traumatic brain injury, attention deficit problems, autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, memory concerns as well as clarification of many other psychological and psychiatric disorders. The purpose of our evaluations is not only to identify the specific difficulty of our clients but why our clients are having the problem, so that a research based treatment program can be immediately implemented to address the issue.
Professional Interests
Dr. Newman is a licensed bilingual (English, Spanish) neuropsychologist. A great deal of his practice relates to evaluation of cases where the plaintiff requests a “Fair Hearing with the Department of Education (in New York City). These cases concern issues in which the DOE is “sued” due to alleged failure to provide required services and educational accommodations and compensatory education services are often requested.
